Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in hibachi cooking or professional kitchen environment
  • Knowledge of food safety protocols
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Strong manual dexterity and coordination
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed

Job Qualifications

  • Experience as a hibachi chef or in a similar culinary role
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to perform entertaining cooking techniques such as spatula tricks and egg tricks
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail in food preparation and presentation
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and follow cleaning schedules

Job Duties

  • Prep fresh soup, salad, veggies, meats and seafood each day according to the prep list
  • Use attention to detail while trimming and cutting steak loins according to Stix's portion and procedure
  • Adjust pars according to level of business to maintain fresh product and manage waste
  • Make hibachi sauces according to Stix's recipe
  • Label, store and rotate product correctly
  • Deep-clean hibachi grills after each shift and keep hoods and filters clean and shining in hibachi dining room
  • Maintain cleanliness of reach-in and walk-in coolers and freezers, and deep-clean hibachi line each day
