Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in hibachi cooking or professional kitchen environment
- Knowledge of food safety protocols
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Strong manual dexterity and coordination
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed
Job Qualifications
- Experience as a hibachi chef or in a similar culinary role
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to perform entertaining cooking techniques such as spatula tricks and egg tricks
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail in food preparation and presentation
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and follow cleaning schedules
Job Duties
- Prep fresh soup, salad, veggies, meats and seafood each day according to the prep list
- Use attention to detail while trimming and cutting steak loins according to Stix's portion and procedure
- Adjust pars according to level of business to maintain fresh product and manage waste
- Make hibachi sauces according to Stix's recipe
- Label, store and rotate product correctly
- Deep-clean hibachi grills after each shift and keep hoods and filters clean and shining in hibachi dining room
- Maintain cleanliness of reach-in and walk-in coolers and freezers, and deep-clean hibachi line each day
