This part-time Territory Sales Associate (TSA) role is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are relationship-oriented and eager to develop their selling skills while representing some of America's most exciting and prestigious brands. The TSA position is designed to be flexible, allowing candidates to work approximately 20-25 hours per week, making it a perfect fit for those seeking supplemental income or a flexible schedule.
The core responsibility of the TSA is to sell and maintain 100% distribution of all "authorized" Hershey products across an assigned geographic territory in the North Metro Minneapolis area, with flexibility available in daily schedules to accommodate personal and business needs. This includes building and maintaining product displays, increasing product distribution, and ensuring flawless retail execution aligned with company Sales and Merchandising Plans. Key responsibilities include visiting 6 to 10 plus retail accounts daily, using technology such as tablets for reporting sales activity, expenses, and promotions, and being comfortable driving personal vehicles up to approximately 55 miles daily within the territory. Mileage reimbursement is provided at 62 cents per mile; however, no car allowance is offered, so candidates must have a reliable personal vehicle. The position's hourly pay ranges between $15.50 and $17.50, depending on skills, experience, and geography.
Candidates must live within specified zip codes in the territory or be willing to commute and must have a valid US driver’s license, a personal vehicle in good working order, and personal auto insurance covering business use. The role requires physical activities such as lifting 10-40 lbs regularly and the ability to bend, stoop, and demonstrate manual dexterity. Additionally, candidates must be tech-savvy enough to use tablets and have daily access to wireless internet. Previous experience in food merchandising and a minimum educational requirement of a high school diploma or GED is preferred but not mandatory. Job Requirements
- Must have a valid US state issued driver's license
- Must have a personal vehicle in sound operating condition
- Must maintain personal auto insurance indicating minimum coverage of $100,000 per person / $100,000 per accident / $100,000 property damage with business use permitted
- Must reside or be willing to commute within the territory boundaries listed
- Must be able to drive long distances daily
- Must be able to lift 10-40 lbs regularly with or without reasonable accommodations
- Must be able to bend, kneel, stoop, and demonstrate manual dexterity frequently with or without accommodations
- Must be able to use tablet technology
