Job Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of dirt operating equipment experience
- NCCER certification for skid steer, dozer, and backhoe
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to operate various powered construction equipment
- Ability to follow safety guidelines
- Willingness to work 5x10 schedule
- Ability to perform physical labor and operate heavy machinery safely
Job Qualifications
- NCCER skid steer certified
- NCCER dozer certified
- NCCER backhoe certified
- Valid driver’s license
- Minimum 4 years of experience operating heavy dirt equipment
- Ability to operate electric, diesel, gasoline, or steam powered construction equipment
- Ability to follow safety protocols and communicate effectively
- No minimum educational requirement
Job Duties
- Pushes and pulls levers and depresses pedals to raise, lower, and rotate boom and to raise and lower load line or to raise and lower blade or bucket
- Raises, lowers blade or bucket, and rotates boom or load by sight or according to signals from helper
- Inspects equipment for defective parts and notifies supervisor of defects or malfunctions
- Starts engines, moves throttles, switches, and levers, and depresses pedals to operate machines
- Signals truck driver to position truck to facilitate loading of dirt, rocks, and other materials
- Takes actions to avoid potential hazards and obstructions such as utility lines, other equipment, other workers, and falling objects
- Cleans, maintains, and lubricates equipment
- Performs other duties as assigned
