Job Description

The role on offer is a full-time Cook position, primarily working the evening shift from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM. Shifts include every other weekend and one morning shift per week, with an hourly wage of up to $20.00. - High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 3 years of culinary experience required
- Senior living experience preferred
- Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks and ability to regulate and maintain workflow
- Pleasant personality and patience exhibited while interacting with residents, guests, and team members
- Ability to read, write, communicate, and comprehend English
- Maintain a clean and neat appearance

Job Duties
- Follows standardized recipes and production sheet counts when preparing meals and adjusts recipes for amounts needed as necessary
- Works on a state of the art dinner line alongside seasoned cooks
- High paced atmosphere with professional, high-end stacked and garnished dishes
- Has experience with scratch cooking and working on a team
- Prepares foods based on the production schedules utilizing wholesome ingredients
- Takes temperatures of foods during preparation and prior to service
- Follows HACCP standards while producing food to ensure food safety measures are met
- Tastes food prior to service and adjusts seasonings as needed, mindful of therapeutic diets
- Adheres to all standards of food safety when handling food products. Follows safety precautions when using kitchen equipment
- Practices personal cleanliness, wears clean uniforms, changing soiled apron frequently and wears hair coverings according to dress code
