The Healthcare Host/Hostess position at Lehigh Valley Hospital represents a pivotal role within Sodexo’s hospital team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently communicating with patients, hospital staff, and guests to ensure meal trays and nourishment are delivered accurately and timely. Your duties include recording special dietary needs, delivering meal carts to patient units, assisting with meal setup at the bedside to enhance patient comfort, and managing inventory for nourishment stations. Operating technical equipment accurately and maintaining cleanliness by discarding soiled trays are also intrinsic to this position. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Zero to one year of related experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff and guests
- Availability to work afternoon and evening shifts with varying days and rotating weekends
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to follow established protocols for meal delivery and inventory management
- Basic proficiency in operating technical equipment
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and adhere to safety standards

Job Duties
- Effectively communicate with patients, staff and guests of the hospital to ensure accuracy and timelines of patient meal trays and floor stock
- Record the amount and type of special food
- Deliver meal carts to patient units
- Aid in the meal set-up at bedside with direct patient contact
- Discard soiled trays
- Take inventory of nourishment areas, stock when necessary and accurately operate technical equipment
- Attend work and show for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
- Perform other duties as assigned based on business necessities and client requirements
