Sodexo is a global leader in quality of life services, dedicated to creating a better everyday experience for its clients and employees. Partnering with various sectors including healthcare, education, corporate, and government, Sodexo delivers comprehensive solutions such as food service, facilities management, and integrated support services across the world. At its core, Sodexo believes in the power of its people to drive meaningful change and enhance the well-being of communities it serves. The company values diversity, inclusion, and fairness, fostering a culture where every individual is respected, empowered, and encouraged to bring their authentic selves to work. Sodexo is committed to equal employment opportunities and actively supports a workplace environment that embraces all backgrounds and abilities. Currently, Sodexo is seeking a part-time Healthcare Host/Hostess to join their team at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. The position offers a pay rate of $17 per hour and requires flexible availability to cover various shifts as needed.
As a Healthcare Host/Hostess within Sodexo’s healthcare division, the primary focus is on providing warm, friendly, and attentive customer service to patients, hospital staff, and visitors. This role is integral in ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of patient meals, supporting nutritional care, and contributing to a positive healthcare environment. The Healthcare Host/Hostess acts as an experience ambassador, making every interaction meaningful and nourishing comfort through attentive and compassionate service. Duties include communicating effectively with various hospital departments to coordinate meal trays and supplies, delivering meal carts to patient units, assisting with bedside meal setup, and managing inventory for nourishment areas. Attention to detail, accuracy in recording special food orders, and proper handling of diet-specific trays are essential responsibilities. This position requires punctuality, reliability, and teamwork, ensuring that meal services run smoothly and safely.
The healthcare environment demands adaptability, a caring attitude, and adherence to safety standards, which are all key qualities desired in candidates for this role. Whether assisting patients directly during meal times or supporting other team members, the Healthcare Host/Hostess provides vital support that enhances patient satisfaction and comfort. Experience in customer service or healthcare settings is beneficial but not mandatory, as on-the-job training and development are provided. Sodexo offers a flexible and supportive work environment tailored to help employees balance their work and personal lives, contributing to overall job satisfaction and well-being.
Additionally, Sodexo provides competitive benefits even for part-time employees, including paid time off, medical, dental, and vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, 401k plans, and employee discount programs. Some locations may offer extra perks such as free shift meals, uniforms, safety shoes, and transportation or parking assistance. This role represents an excellent opportunity for those looking to enter the healthcare service sector with a reputable and socially responsible company dedicated to making a positive impact on lives. Sodexo’s commitment to culture, belonging, and development aims to offer employees a fulfilling career path beyond just a job.
