Located in Texas, this facility operates as part of the larger University of Texas Medical Branch system, which is known for its commitment to clinical excellence, innovation, and compassionate healthcare delivery. The hospital embraces a patient-centered approach, ensuring that every individual receives personalized and comprehensive care from a skilled team of medical professionals. At UTMB Health Angleton Danbury Campus Hospital, patient experience is a top priority, supported by a collaborative and welcoming environment that fosters healing and trust.

The Healthcare Host/Hostess position at Sodexo within this hospital setting is a full-time role with a pay rate of $13.00 per hour. Sodexo, a global leader in food services and facilities management, partners with healthcare providers to enhance overall patient satisfaction through exceptional customer service and operational excellence. As a Healthcare Host/Hostess, you will play a vital role as the face of Sodexo and the hospital, acting as a warm-welcoming ambassador dedicated to delivering a positive dining experience for patients, visitors, and staff. This position requires a compassionate, team-oriented individual who understands the importance of nurturing a safe and healthy environment while maintaining efficiency and accuracy in meal delivery.

Your primary responsibilities include effectively communicating with patients, hospital staff, and guests to ensure meal trays are delivered accurately and timely. You will be responsible for recording special dietary requirements, delivering meal carts to patient units, assisting with meal set-up at bedside, discarding soiled trays, and taking inventory of nourishment areas to ensure adequate stock. You will also be expected to operate technical equipment accurately and arrive for scheduled shifts on time with consistent attendance. Adaptability to varying shifts and open availability are preferred due to the dynamic nature of the hospital environment.

In addition to hands-on patient interaction, this role supports the overall logistical coordination between the food service team and hospital departments, ensuring patients receive appropriate nourishment that meets their dietary needs. This contributes directly to patient comfort, well-being, and recovery. Working as part of the Sodexo team at UTMB Health provides opportunities for ongoing professional development, with access to training designed to turn this job into a rewarding career path. The work environment is supportive, flexible, and encourages employees to balance work and life commitments effectively.

Sodexo values bringing purpose to everyday actions and fostering a culture of inclusion and respect where every employee is treated fairly and encouraged to be their authentic selves. The company emphasizes equal employment opportunities and nurtures an environment where ideas and opinions count.
