The Healthcare Host/Hostess role at SodexoMagic is a full-time position based at Atrium Health Lincoln, serving as a vital ambassador of customer service within a healthcare setting. Working flexible shifts with open availability preferred, this role offers compensation ranging from $18.75 to $21.00 per hour. The Healthcare Host/Hostess is responsible for creating a welcoming and comforting atmosphere for patients, visitors, and hospital staff by facilitating the accurate and timely delivery of meal trays and nourishment resources.

In this hands-on role, the Healthcare Host/Hostess effectively communicates with patients and hospital personnel to ensure that dietary needs and special food requests are documented and honored correctly. Their duties include delivering meal carts to patient units, assisting in meal setup at the bedside, discarding soiled trays, conducting inventory and restocking nourishment areas, and operating technical equipment with precision. This position requires punctuality, reliability, and adaptability as shift times and tasks may vary based on business and client needs.

Job Duties

  • Effectively communicate with patients, staff and guests of the hospital to ensure accuracy and timelines of patient meal trays and floor stock
  • Record the amount and type of special food
  • Deliver meal carts to patient units
  • Aid in the meal set-up at bedside with direct patient contact and discard soiled trays
  • Take inventory of nourishment areas, stock when necessary and accurately operate technical equipment
  • Attend work and show for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
  • Perform other duties as assigned varying by account and client requirements
