As a Healthcare Host/Hostess at Sodexo within the Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg, you will serve as a vital link between patients, hospital staff, and the food service operations. This role is designed for individuals who are warm, welcoming, and dedicated to delivering excellent customer service that enhances the patient experience. Your responsibilities will include communicating effectively with patients and hospital personnel to ensure meal trays and floor stock are delivered accurately and on time, aiding in meal set-up with direct patient contact, and maintaining inventory in nourishment areas. Job Duties

  • Effectively communicate with patients, staff and guests of the hospital to ensure accuracy and timelines of patient meal trays and floor stock
  • record the amount and type of special food
  • deliver meal carts to patient units
  • aid in the meal set-up at bedside with direct patient contact
  • discard soiled trays
  • take inventory of nourishment areas, stock when necessary and accurately operate technical equipment
  • attend work and show for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
  • perform other duties as assigned and adapt to business necessities and client requirements
