Sodexo is a global leader in providing integrated services that enhance quality of life for individuals and organizations alike. With a commitment to improving the quality of daily experiences, Sodexo partners with healthcare institutions, educational organizations, corporate entities, and communities to deliver world-class food service, facilities management, and other support services. The company values diversity, inclusion, and sustainability, making it a preferred employer for those seeking meaningful and impactful employment opportunities. Sodexo operates worldwide and emphasizes a culture of fairness, respect, and belonging, ensuring every employee feels heard, valued, and empowered to contribute their unique ideas and talents.

The Healthcare Host/Hostess position at Sodexo, located at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center, offers a unique opportunity to be a vital part of a healthcare team that directly impacts patient experience and satisfaction. This part-time role, with a pay rate of $15.50 per hour, involves varying shifts with an emphasis on open availability to accommodate the dynamic needs of the hospital environment. As a Healthcare Host/Hostess, you will be the welcoming face and customer service ambassador for patients, hospital staff, and guests. Your role focuses on ensuring accurate and timely delivery of patient meals, managing meal trays, and supporting nourishment areas. This position demands strong communication skills, adaptability, reliability, and a commitment to fostering a safe and healthy workplace.

Your daily duties will include effective communication with patients and hospital personnel to coordinate meal services, recording special food orders, delivering meal carts, and assisting patients with meal setup at bedside to enhance their comfort and dining experience. Additionally, you will be responsible for discarding soiled trays, maintaining inventory of nourishment supplies, and operating technical equipment accurately. Punctuality and consistent attendance are crucial, as is the ability to adapt to additional duties as required by client needs and operational demands.

Candidates with little or no prior experience are welcome, though 0-1 year of related experience is beneficial. Sodexo fosters a team-oriented and supportive work environment where employees are encouraged to grow their skills and careers through ongoing training and development opportunities. The company also offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes paid time off, holidays, medical, dental, vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, 401k, discount programs, and more. Some locations may provide additional site-specific benefits, such as free shift meals, uniforms, safety shoes, and transportation support.

Working at Sodexo means joining an organization that creates a better everyday for everyone involved—employees, clients, and the communities they serve. Sodexo's commitment to equal employment opportunity and inclusive culture ensures a respectful workplace that celebrates diversity and champions individual contributions. If you are a dedicated, caring individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced healthcare setting while making a positive impact through exceptional customer service, the Healthcare Host/Hostess role at Sodexo is an excellent career choice.
