Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited Unit Coordinator/Clerk program or one-year related job experience/college coursework
  • BLS certification
  • Ability to use basic computer skills and printing equipment
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Ability to work full-time days (7 AM - 7 PM)
  • Commitment to uphold patient confidentiality and ethical standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited Unit Coordinator/Clerk program or one-year related job experience/college coursework
  • Basic computer skills
  • Proficient in typing, spelling, and medical terminology
  • Professional telephone etiquette
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Team player with initiative and resourcefulness

Job Duties

  • Performs receptionist/secretary activities for assigned area embodying the principles of service
  • Practices positive guest and peer relations
  • Maintains unit medical records according to policies and procedures
  • Maintains equipment and supplies on assigned unit
  • Meets patient needs that do not directly relate to medical or nursing care
  • Assists in the maintenance of a neat and orderly environment
  • Respects and supports patient/family rights
  • Participates in and supports continuous quality improvement activities
  • Demonstrates acceptable productivity and practices cost containment
  • Functions as an interdependent and supportive team member
  • Accepts responsibility for own growth/development
