Job Requirements

  • Five years of experience as a Head Sushi Chef or higher
  • Excellent communication skills in English both written and verbal
  • Ability to maintain and follow recipes, processes and standards
  • Drive and ambition with desire to learn and grow within the team
  • Full ownership of the role
  • Knowledge of and compliance with departmental policies, procedures and health department regulations
  • Possession of a valid California Food Handler Card and RBS/ABC certification
  • Valid documentation of right to work in the U.S

Job Duties

  • Develop and execute exceptional quality dishes adhering to SUSHI SAMBA standards of excellence
  • Create and implement seasonal menu changes with senior chefs
  • Maintain exceptional knowledge of all seafood products and apply culinary excellence
  • Execute recipes in line with SUSHI SAMBA standards
  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, procedures and standards
  • Ensure each station is stocked with specified tools, supplies and equipment to meet business demands
  • Direct, train and upskill members of the SUSHI SAMBA team
