The role of Head Pastry Chef at Elaichi Co. is an exciting leadership opportunity located in their small commissary bakery in Emeryville. This kitchen is the heart of operations, responsible for preparing all the food across multiple cafe locations and wholesale partners. The ideal candidate will be entrusted with the full operation of the bakery, including developing innovative recipes, managing daily production, and leading a skilled baking team. This role demands a creative, detail-oriented leader who values team development and is passionate about delivering high-quality pastries inspired by South Asian flavors but crafted with a broad, approachable appeal.

Though the bakery is currently modest in size, it holds immense potential for growth. Candidates should possess at least one year of experience in pastry and kitchen management, with a preference for those holding a baking and pastry degree or equivalent hands-on experience. The position requires availability for early mornings, weekends, and holidays to support the cafe's 7-day-a-week operation.
