Job Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Morning or daytime availability
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing kitchen environments
  • Proven track record in pastry creation and decoration
  • Leadership experience in baking or retail
  • Compliance with food safety regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of large-scale baking or pastry experience
  • Experience in leadership roles within retail or food service
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal food handler and sanitation standards
  • Ability to decorate pastries accurately and artistically
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes precisely
  • Formal culinary education is a plus

Job Duties

  • Lead the pastry team to create a diverse menu of fresh baked goods
  • Ensure all pastries meet quality and presentation standards
  • Manage inventory and place orders for baking supplies
  • Maintain compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff on pastry techniques and safety
  • Adapt to operational changes while maintaining baking schedules
  • Oversee the decoration and finishing of pastries
