Job Requirements

  • 5 years experience working as a Head Pastry Chef or higher
  • Excellent English communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to maintain and follow recipes, processes, and standards
  • Drive and ambition with a desire to learn and grow within the team
  • Full ownership of role responsibilities
  • Possession of valid Food Handler Card
  • Valid documentation of right to work in the U.S

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a Head Pastry Chef or higher
  • Excellent communication skills in English both written and verbal
  • Ability to maintain and follow recipes, processes, and standards
  • Demonstrated drive and ambition with a desire to learn and grow within the team
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing a culinary team
  • Possession of valid Food Handler Card
  • Valid documentation authorizing work in the U.S

Job Duties

  • Develop and execute exceptional quality pastry dishes adhering to SUSHI SAMBA standards
  • Ensure pastry quality is maintained at a superior standard and take corrective actions when necessary
  • Create and implement seasonal menu changes in conjunction with senior chefs
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of food products and apply culinary techniques skillfully
  • Execute recipes consistently in line with SUSHI SAMBA standards
  • Comply with all departmental policies, procedures, and standards
  • Ensure pastry stations are adequately stocked with necessary tools, supplies and equipment
  • Direct, train and upskill members of the pastry team
