Job Requirements

Bachelor's or master's degree in architecture, design, construction management, or a related field, or equivalent education and hospitality industry experience
Over 10 years of progressive experience in architecture, design, construction, and renovations within the hospitality sector
5-7 years of experience managing teams and leading complex hotel design, renovation, and construction projects
Proven ability to organize, plan, and execute large-scale projects from concept through implementation
Demonstrated success in leading, developing, and managing high-performing teams
Strong verbal and written communication skills
In-depth knowledge of building codes, company license agreements, and related regulations

Job Duties

Create and implement departmental policies and procedures to support strategic objectives and ensure consistent design standards across all assigned brands
Lead the Property Improvement Plan and Plan Review processes, ensuring timely, cost-effective evaluations and consistent training for departmental competency
Guide design strategies for modernization programs, maintain awareness of industry trends, and support the development of innovative, competitive brand standards
Contribute to the creation and maintenance of brand standards, including architecture, engineering, ADA compliance, FF&E, signage, and safety protocols
Support the implementation and upkeep of prototype building designs and the Standardized Room Décor (SRD) program to ensure current and consistent design execution
Manage and develop the PIP and Plan Review teams through hiring, training, performance management, and fostering a positive, high-retention work environment
Lead budget planning, staffing, and special projects that drive innovation, assess competitive data, and support strategic initiatives across the hotel portfolio
