The District is also responsible for providing fire protection and emergency medical services throughout its jurisdiction, which includes the cities of Elk Grove and Galt as well as unincorporated southern Sacramento County. The District's vision is to be an innovative, inclusive, and intentional regional leader, committed to delivering exceptional services that enhance the quality of life for residents, visitors, and businesses alike. Its mission is dedicated to protecting lives, property, and the environment through superior fire and emergency services while also providing well-maintained parks and recreational opportunities to promote health, wellness, and community engagement.
