Job Requirements
- 18 years or older
- high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- prior kitchen experience including food preparation and kitchen routine
- bilingual Spanish/English preferred
- ability to obtain First Aid and BLS/CPR certifications within 30 days of hire
- successful completion of health exam and annual screenings
- passing TB test and criminal records check
- commitment to maintain certifications current
- willingness to be reassigned to various centers as required
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- prepare meals according to menus
- oversee all phases of kitchen operation per USDA and child care nutritional standards
- ensure compliance with Head Start/Early Head Start Nutrition Performance Standards
- comply with New Mexico Child Care licensing regulations
- manage reassignment to various centers as needed
- maintain kitchen routine and food safety standards
- support nutrition program goals through consistent meal preparation practices
