Located in Seattle, USA, the company is currently seeking a qualified Head Chef to join their team on-site, offering a competitive salary of $90,000 per year. This role is instrumental in upholding the high standards of food production and customer service at the company’s Customer Service Center (CSC). The Head Chef works in close partnership with the Executive Chef to ensure all food production activities in both the Hot and Cold Kitchens meet recipe specifications, authenticity, and company standards. This leadership role includes operational responsibilities such as managing kitchen staff, ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety regulations including HACCP, and supporting cost control measures related to personnel and materials.
The Head Chef will not only maintain day-to-day production quality but will also step into the Executive Chef’s role when necessary, guaranteeing continuous smooth operation and consistent delivery of culinary excellence. Furthermore, they are responsible for addressing deviations in inventory and production, supporting the development of new menu items, monitoring adherence to the company’s catering manuals, and playing a vital role in kitchen staff training and development. The position also involves external representation of the kitchen team, incorporating the latest food industry trends and innovations, and participating in marketing and food presentation activities.

Job Requirements
- Five years of experience in commercial cooking
- Apprenticeship or graduation from an accredited culinary school
- Knowledge of food and hygiene regulations including HACCP
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work on-site in Seattle, USA
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows-based applications
- Commitment to maintaining quality and safety standards
Job Qualifications
- Apprenticeship or graduation from an accredited culinary school
- Five years of experience in commercial cooking
- Additional certifications such as diet chef, industrial chef, or design chef preferred
- Certification with the American Culinary Federation is a plus
- Knowledge of food and hygiene regulations including HACCP
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Service orientation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows-based applications
Job Duties
- Support all food production activities in Hot and Cold Kitchen
- Identify deviations in inventories and production and initiate countermeasures
- Support control and adjustment of production plans and estimate consumption of food and equipment
- Ensure compliance with recipe specifications and conduct quality sense-checks
- Participate in development of food products and menus
- Maintain compliance with hygiene, health, safety, and HACCP regulations
- Coordinate and manage customer complaint countermeasures in production
- Support training strategies and plans for kitchen staff
- Represent kitchen and staff with external stakeholders
- Actively research food industry innovations and trends
- Participate in marketing and menu presentation activities
- Ensure quality of goods received and maintain food storage standards
- Organize, staff, and direct kitchen operations
- Guide, motivate, and develop subordinate employees
- Implement and control cost budgets and corrective actions
- Participate in company initiatives such as Global Quality Standard, HACCP, and Lean Manufacturing
