Job Requirements

  • Five years of experience in commercial cooking
  • Apprenticeship or graduation from an accredited culinary school
  • Knowledge of food and hygiene regulations such as HACCP
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Service orientation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer applications

Job Qualifications

  • Five years of experience in commercial cooking
  • Apprenticeship or graduation from an accredited culinary school
  • Additional certifications such as diet chef, industrial chef, design chef preferred
  • Certification with the American Culinary Federation is a plus
  • Knowledge of food and hygiene regulations including HACCP
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Service orientation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer applications

Job Duties

  • Supports all food production activities in the Hot and Cold Kitchen
  • Identifies deviations in inventories and production and initiates countermeasures
  • Supports the control and adjustment of production plans
  • Ensures compliance with recipe specifications and conducts quality sense-checks
  • Participates in the development of food products and menus
  • Updates and distributes catering manuals within the Customer Service Center
  • Supports cost controlling related to budget, personnel, and material costs
  • Participates in internal and external menu presentations
  • Coordinates production countermeasures for customer complaints
  • Develops and supports kitchen staff training strategies
  • Represents kitchen and staff to external stakeholders
  • Researches and incorporates food industry innovations and emerging trends
  • Participates in marketing activities
  • Ensures quality of goods received
  • Maintains tidiness in food storage and implements first in - first out principle
  • Ensures adherence to hygiene, health and safety standards and HACCP regulations
  • Organizes, staffs, and directs area of responsibility
  • Guides, motivates, and develops employees in line with Human Resources policy
  • Embodies company values and management principles
  • Controls cost budgets and initiates corrective actions
  • Participates and supports company initiatives such as Global Quality Standard, HACCP, and Lean Manufacturing
