The Head Cashier position is an integral part of the Front End team at City Market Co-Op, responsible for supporting front end operations and overseeing the performance of cashiers and baggers. This role ensures exceptional customer service by maintaining the highest standards of promptness, friendliness, and efficiency while also assisting with training and task delegation. Reporting to Front End Management, the Head Cashier works across all City Market locations and is a non-exempt, Grade 5 union position under UE Local 203. Starting at $18.50 per hour, the Head Cashier plays an essential role in facilitating smooth daily operations, supporting customers through inquiries and member services, and maintaining clean and professional work environments. Besides operational duties, the role requires adherence to company policies regarding sales, safety, and security.
