Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent preferred
- Experience in retail or grocery environment preferred
- One year of cashiering experience preferred
- One year of supervising others preferred
- Ability to pass food safety training and maintain certification as required by law
- Ability to manage changing priorities and stay focused
- Sense of urgency in task completion
- Excellent customer service skills
- Highly organized with great attention to detail
- Ability to follow direction and complete tasks
- Must be cashier trained and able to count currency
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook

Job Duties
- Providing world class customer service and a positive customer experience as the number one priority
- Exemplifying integrity, responsibility, and excellence and adhering to all policies
- Training of all cashiers including communicating about the customer rewards program, notifying customers about donations to local food banks, educating on nutritional information, and promoting store events
- Completing the Daily Sales Report and cashier closeout responsibilities
- Issuing and verifying cash drawers
- Handling returns and overrides at the front end
- Addressing customer complaints appropriately
- Ensuring that front end sets are full and well-maintained
- Overseeing completion of the front end task list daily
- Maintaining all register binders
- Directing cashiers to tasks during slow times
- General cashiering including running a cash register, bagging groceries, and carry out service
- Monitoring, assigning and performing cart checks
- Answering the telephone
- Assisting in managing special orders
- Monitoring, assigning and grinding nut butters
- Learning product locations to direct customers
- Participating in tagging, facing, rotating, cleaning, markdowns, stocking, and backstock as needed
- Working a schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Limited Manager on Duty responsibilities but not overall store Manager on Duty
- Being hands on and accomplishing all assigned tasks to support store success
