Job Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age
Possess a high school diploma or GED
Have 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience supplemented with leadership training
Be dependable and reliable with ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
Exhibit outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
Possess good communication skills and ability to take direction and participate in a team environment
Have ability to operate front end equipment such as register, calculator, and scanner
Demonstrate ability to multi-task, prioritize and stay organized
Have strong attention to detail and proficiency with numbers including cash handling and mathematical skills
Be able to lift/carry products weighing up to 30 lbs and use both hands to move grocery carts requiring physical strength

Job Duties

Ensure excellent customer service through proactively visiting registers and providing direction/support to cashiers and courtesy clerks
Assist in potential customer assistance issues at the register
Assign store sweeps, monitor/maintain cash register supply levels and maintain cleanliness standards in the restrooms and parking lots
Maintain visibility of the exit doors for security and loss prevention issues
Schedule and oversee proper execution of appropriate meal and rest breaks in compliance with company policy and state requirements
Assist in the hiring and training of new cashiers and taking necessary steps for disciplinary actions
Thrive in a fast-paced environment and support team operations
