Job Requirements

Must lift/carry product weighing up to 30 lbs horizontally/vertically, from 36" to 24", for a distance up to 3 feet for up to 50 hours without mechanical assistance
Must use both hands to move grocery carts horizontally requiring a force up to 35 lbs, for a distance up to 4 feet for up to 50 hours
High school diploma or GED
At least 18 years of age
1-2 years of recent cashiering experience
Leadership training
Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
Strong communication skills
Ability to multitask and stay organized
Proficiency with cash handling and mathematical skills

Job Qualifications

Be at least 18 years of age
Possess a high school diploma or GED
Have 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience supplemented with leadership training
Be dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
Have an outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
Ability to operate front end equipment such as register, calculator, and scanner
Good communication skills with the ability to take direction and participate in a team environment
Ability to perform repetitious activities, multitask, prioritize, and stay organized
Strong attention to detail and proficiency with numbers
Ability to read, write and count

Job Duties

Ensure excellent customer service through proactively visiting registers and providing direction/support to cashiers and courtesy clerks
Assist in potential customer assistance issues at the register
Assign store sweeps, monitor/maintain cash register supply levels and maintain cleanliness standards in restrooms and parking lots
Maintain visibility of exit doors for security and loss prevention issues
Schedule and oversee proper execution of meal and rest breaks in compliance with company policy and state requirements
Assist in the hiring and training of new cashiers and take necessary steps for disciplinary actions
Thrive in a fast-paced environment and lead the cashier team effectively
