Job Requirements

  • Must lift/carry product weighing up to 30 lbs horizontally/vertically, from 36" to 24", for a distance up to 3 feet for up to 50 hours without mechanical assistance
  • Must use both hands to move grocery carts horizontally requiring a force up to 35 lbs, for a distance up to 4 feet for up to 50 hours
  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 18 years of age
  • 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience
  • Leadership training
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized
  • Proficiency with cash handling and mathematical skills

Job Qualifications

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess a high school diploma or GED
  • Have 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience supplemented with leadership training
  • Be dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Have an outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
  • Ability to operate front end equipment such as register, calculator, and scanner
  • Good communication skills with the ability to take direction and participate in a team environment
  • Ability to perform repetitious activities, multitask, prioritize, and stay organized
  • Strong attention to detail and proficiency with numbers
  • Ability to read, write and count

Job Duties

  • Ensure excellent customer service through proactively visiting registers and providing direction/support to cashiers and courtesy clerks
  • Assist in potential customer assistance issues at the register
  • Assign store sweeps, monitor/maintain cash register supply levels and maintain cleanliness standards in restrooms and parking lots
  • Maintain visibility of exit doors for security and loss prevention issues
  • Schedule and oversee proper execution of meal and rest breaks in compliance with company policy and state requirements
  • Assist in the hiring and training of new cashiers and take necessary steps for disciplinary actions
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and lead the cashier team effectively
