Job Requirements
- Be dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
- Have outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
- Must lift/carry product weighing up to 30 lbs for up to 50 hours without mechanical assistance
- Use both hands to move grocery carts requiring a force up to 35 lbs for up to 50 hours
- Meet strong attention to detail and proficiency requirements with numbers
- Ability to operate register, calculator and scanner
- Ability to communicate effectively and follow team directives
- Ability to handle multitasking and organizational demands
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess a high school diploma or GED
- Have 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience supplemented with leadership training
- Ability to operate front end equipment such as registers and scanners
- Good communication skills
- Ability to take direction and constructive criticism
- Participate in a team environment
- Ability to perform repetitious activities
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and stay organized
- Strong attention to detail and proficiency with numbers
- Proficient in cash handling and mathematical skills
- Ability to read, write and count
Job Duties
- Ensure excellent customer service through proactively visiting registers and providing direction/support to Cashiers and Courtesy Clerks
- Assist in potential customer assistance issues at the register
- Assign store sweeps, monitor/maintain cash register supply levels and maintain cleanliness standards in the restrooms and parking lots
- Maintain visibility of the exit doors for security and loss prevention issues
- Schedule and oversee proper execution of appropriate meal and rest breaks in compliance with company policy and state requirements
- Assist in the hiring and training of new Cashiers and taking necessary steps for disciplinary actions
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment and lead by example
