Job Requirements
- Be dependable and reliable
- willing to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- able to lift and carry products up to 30 lbs for short distances
- use both hands to move grocery carts requiring up to 35 lbs of force
- perform repetitious physical activities for extended periods
- possess strong attention to detail
- able to read, write, and count accurately
- comply with company and state guidelines for scheduling and breaks
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- possess a high school diploma or GED
- have 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience with leadership training
- demonstrate outgoing and friendly behavior
- maintain a positive attitude
- exhibit strong communication skills
- ability to operate front-end equipment including registers and scanners
- able to perform multitasking and prioritize responsibilities
- show proficiency in cash handling and mathematical skills
Job Duties
- Supervise a team of cashiers and provide leadership support
- ensure excellent customer service by proactively assisting registers
- resolve potential customer issues at the register
- assign store sweeps and maintain register supply levels
- uphold cleanliness standards in restrooms and parking areas
- monitor exit doors for security and loss prevention
- schedule and oversee proper meal and rest breaks according to policies
- assist in hiring and training new cashiers
- support disciplinary actions when necessary
