Job Description
Stateside Brands is a rapidly growing spirits company dedicated to producing premium-quality beverages such as Surfside Iced Teas and Lemonades, Stateside Sodas, Super Lyte Sports Drinks, and Stateside Vodka. Known for its focus on innovation and quality, Stateside Brands prides itself on maintaining a diverse portfolio of products that embody its commitment to excellence. As a company, it values creativity, quality, and guest satisfaction, always looking for team members who share these core values and are passionate about delivering top-notch beverage experiences.
The Head Bartender position at the Stateside Vodka Bar is a unique and exciting opportunity for an experienced bar professional to take on a leadership role. This role blends hands-on bartending with supervisory responsibilities, requiring an individual who can craft high-quality cocktails while managing bar operations and a team in a fast-paced, welcoming environment. As the face of the bar, the Head Bartender will be responsible for providing an exceptional and engaging experience to all guests, showcasing the Stateside brand through superior service and cocktail craftsmanship.
In addition to preparing and serving drinks with accuracy and great presentation, the Head Bartender will manage daily bar prep tasks including batching, juicing, and ingredient preparation to ensure seamless service. Responsibilities also include overseeing bar opening and closing procedures and maintaining compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service standards. The role also involves assisting in the development and execution of seasonal cocktail menus, refreshing offerings 3 to 4 times annually to keep the menu innovative and appealing.
Inventory management is a key aspect of the role; the Head Bartender will monitor and maintain supplies, place vendor orders, and ensure that the bar is well-stocked at all times. Training and supporting bar staff on cocktail techniques, service expectations, and POS system usage is another crucial responsibility, helping to maintain a highly skilled and motivated team. Furthermore, the Head Bartender may lead distillery tours, providing guests with engaging and informative experiences that deepen their connection with the Stateside brand.
The ideal candidate must demonstrate professionalism in handling guest issues and represent the brand with pride. Familiarity with POS systems, specifically the Toast POS, is essential for accurately processing orders and payments. The position requires adherence to all alcohol service laws and responsible beverage practices, emphasizing safety and legal compliance. This role offers hourly compensation between $13 and $15 plus tips, with a work schedule that includes nights and weekends.
