Job Description
Birley Bakery is a new establishment founded by the renowned club owner and entrepreneur Robin Birley, known for his ownership of prestigious private members' clubs 5 Hertford Street and Oswald's in London. Opening in summer 2025, Birley Bakery will be situated on the Upper East Side's Madison Avenue, offering a warm and welcoming environment inspired by the classic Boulangerie-Patisserie concept, providing exceptional quality bread, pastries, and desserts to households.
Job Requirements
- 2+ years barista experience in a specialty coffee or high-volume café setting
- previous leadership or training experience preferred
- strong knowledge of espresso extraction, milk steaming, and drink standards
- ability to multitask, stay organized, and lead by example in a fast-paced environment
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- NYC DOH Food Handler's Certificate (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire)
- excellent attention to detail, communication, and multitasking skills
- friendly, guest-focused, and team-oriented
- ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs
