Job Requirements

  • High school or equivalent education required
  • minimum of one year experience in public contact or customer service
  • preferred restaurant or hospitality experience
  • all team members must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance per The Ranch standards
  • must be able to speak, read, write, and understand primary workplace languages
  • requires good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • must have knowledge of table settings and service ware
  • ability to notify management of inappropriate guest behavior
  • must possess basic computational and computer skills
  • must be able to stand and exert mobility for up to 4 hours
  • must be able to lift up to 15 lbs regularly and 30 lbs occasionally
  • able to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch for tasks
  • requires manual dexterity and visual acuity
  • flexibility with working hours and on-call rotation

Job Qualifications

  • High school education or equivalent

Job Duties

  • Greet guests in a professional manner using guests name upon arrival and departure
  • control the flow of work in the room by seating guests in a rotation of stations while maintaining accurate guest lists and enforcing restaurant standards
  • inform guests of daily activities and promote The Ranch
  • meet all phone etiquette standards
  • assign opening and/or closing servers' dining sections via iPad
  • review dining sections for open tables and completed setups
  • handle the reservation system, take incoming calls, and note reservations and special requests
  • review Open Table system to prevent overbooking and confirm reservations
  • engage with guests to ensure a positive experience following Forbes and Ranch standards
  • communicate with servers and staff about special occasion guests
