Job Requirements

Must be of minimum legal age to serve alcohol according to state law
TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) certificate required
Excellent eye for detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Ability to communicate in English second language is a plus
Ability to work flexible schedules including holidays and weekends
Knowledge of basic food handling policies and procedures including storage handling techniques proper chemical handling and sanitation standards
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Physically fit to move lift carry pull push and place items up to 50 pounds
Must be capable of standing walking reaching and bending throughout shift

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or GED
Minimum 2 years experience mixing and serving beverages in a luxury resort or high-volume restaurant
Knowledge of popular cocktails and wines
Basic computer knowledge of Micros or other POS systems
Effective at listening understanding and clarifying guest concerns
Professional demeanor appropriate for a luxury environment

Job Duties

Greet each guest promptly after seating in a sincerely warm friendly manner using the guest's name
Present menu answer questions make suggestions regarding beverage and food
Know the ingredients preparation and proper presentation of all beverage items and specials to ensure that every product delivered to the guest adheres to the highest quality possible
Prepare drink orders for guests according to specified recipes using measuring systems
Remain observant and check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each beverage and/or food course
Prepare fresh garnishes for drinks
Stock ice glassware and paper supplies
Anticipate and communicate replenishment needs
Communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions the length of wait and product availability
Know layout of lounge hotel and location of all equipment and supplies
Secure liquors beers wines coolers cabinets and storage areas
Setup and maintain cleanliness and condition of bar bar unit tables and other tools
Assist as needed to maintain standards of appearance sanitation and service in all areas of the restaurant
Ensure compliance with all state alcohol requirements
Key in pre check orders on the Micros terminal promptly and accurately
Present physical and accurate check to guest and process payment
Perform any other reasonable duties as required by management
