Job Requirements

  • Must be of minimum legal age to serve alcohol according to state law
  • TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) certificate required
  • Excellent eye for detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to communicate in English second language is a plus
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including holidays and weekends
  • Knowledge of basic food handling policies and procedures including storage handling techniques proper chemical handling and sanitation standards
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Physically fit to move lift carry pull push and place items up to 50 pounds
  • Must be capable of standing walking reaching and bending throughout shift

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years experience mixing and serving beverages in a luxury resort or high-volume restaurant
  • Knowledge of popular cocktails and wines
  • Basic computer knowledge of Micros or other POS systems
  • Effective at listening understanding and clarifying guest concerns
  • Professional demeanor appropriate for a luxury environment

Job Duties

  • Greet each guest promptly after seating in a sincerely warm friendly manner using the guest's name
  • Present menu answer questions make suggestions regarding beverage and food
  • Know the ingredients preparation and proper presentation of all beverage items and specials to ensure that every product delivered to the guest adheres to the highest quality possible
  • Prepare drink orders for guests according to specified recipes using measuring systems
  • Remain observant and check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each beverage and/or food course
  • Prepare fresh garnishes for drinks
  • Stock ice glassware and paper supplies
  • Anticipate and communicate replenishment needs
  • Communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions the length of wait and product availability
  • Know layout of lounge hotel and location of all equipment and supplies
  • Secure liquors beers wines coolers cabinets and storage areas
  • Setup and maintain cleanliness and condition of bar bar unit tables and other tools
  • Assist as needed to maintain standards of appearance sanitation and service in all areas of the restaurant
  • Ensure compliance with all state alcohol requirements
  • Key in pre check orders on the Micros terminal promptly and accurately
  • Present physical and accurate check to guest and process payment
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as required by management
