The General Manager role is a pivotal leadership position responsible for the comprehensive management of all restaurant operations. This includes oversight of all employees such as General Manager Trainees, Shift Managers, Team Leaders, and Crew Members. The General Manager is accountable at all times for maintaining high standards of product quality, customer service, and employee performance, ensuring full alignment with the company’s business goals. This leadership position involves maximizing financial outcomes by overseeing budgeting, scheduling, and profit and loss management. A key aspect of the role includes coaching and developing team members to increase their skills, morale, and productivity in contribution to the restaurant's success. The General Manager must ensure adherence to company policies and legal requirements in all business and personnel practices, creating an environment of safety, respect, and operational integrity. Effective communication across various levels of management and with external contacts is essential, along with active participation in company meetings, training sessions, and initiatives to keep pace with industry trends. The position requires strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities to identify areas of improvement and implement strategies that yield positive business results. Physical demands include working in kitchen conditions, standing for extended periods, and handling moderate lifting tasks, requiring stamina and resilience. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years experience in restaurant operations or related field
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Proven financial management skills
  • Ability to plan, budget, schedule and manage profit and loss
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods, bend, stoop, and lift 50 to 75 pounds
  • Ability to handle kitchen equipment and work with various cleaning products
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Commitment to confidentiality and ethical conduct

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess 3 years of any combination of experience and or education that demonstrates a commanding knowledge of restaurant operations preferably quick-service restaurant
  • Must have basic knowledge of computers
  • Must have financial and analytical aptitude including planning, budgeting, scheduling and profit and loss management experience
  • Must have excellent planning and time management skills
  • Must have team building skills
  • Must have investigative and problem-solving skills
  • Bi-lingual skills are a plus
  • Must display strong analytical and organizational skills and have the ability to identify and implement process improvement strategies with positive business results
  • Must have strong work ethics and a high level of confidentiality to ensure proper handling of sensitive information
