- must be able to pass mandatory screening which may include a background and credit check, and drug test
- must be 21 years plus of age
- must be able to obtain and maintain a current California gambling establishment team member permit, badge or license
- able to deal effectively and interact well with customers and co-workers
- available to work any shift including weekends, holidays and overtime
- able to converse in English
- able to work independently
- able to work within a team environment
- must provide evidence of employment eligibility in the U.S.

- culinary arts education and training preferred
- two to three years previous experience in similar field of cuisine
- possess a thorough understanding of sushi techniques including rice preparation, fish slicing, and working with seaweed (nori)
Job Duties
- Prepare and serve hand rolls made with premium ingredients, focusing on simplicity, freshness, flavor, while making sure the nori stays crispy
- engage with guests at the sushi bar, explaining the menu, taking orders, and providing a friendly and educational experience while preparing hand rolls in front of them
- ensure consistency in the preparation and presentation of each hand roll, adhering to established restaurant standards
- maintain the cleanliness and organization of the hand roll bar and workspace at all times, including tools and utensils
- monitor the freshness and quality of fish and other ingredients, ensuring all products meet high standards of quality and safety
- work efficiently to serve customers in a timely manner, especially during peak hours, without sacrificing quality
- collaborate with the kitchen staff and other chefs to ensure smooth operations and quick delivery of orders
- adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation protocols in compliance with local health regulations
- assist in restocking and maintaining ingredient inventory to ensure seamless service throughout shifts
- contribute to menu development by suggesting new hand roll combinations and seasonal specials
- perform other duties as assigned
