Job Requirements

  • Customer service and cash handling experience preferred

  • Ability to read and interpret restaurant's seating chart

  • Ability to bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions

Job Duties

  • Maintains consistent attention to the entrance of the restaurant and welcomes guests with a smile and appropriate greeting following customer service standards
  • Records customer reservations or seating times consistently to provide high-quality service
  • Maintains and updates restaurant seating charts
  • Properly sets up and maintains dining room areas before service
  • Assists with stocking roll-up silverware for incoming shifts
  • Seats guests and advises them on menus and beverage choices
  • Oversees delivery and servicing of food and beverages
  • Coordinates between kitchen and floor staff to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Performs cashier or bus person duties as needed, including cashing out guest checks
  • Follows cash handling policies and maintains proper security of cash
  • Patrols assigned station to refill beverages, remove service items, and maintain cleanliness
  • Performs additional duties such as rolling silverware, expediting food orders, washing dishes, preparing to-go food, and refilling table condiments during downtime
