Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of experience in a healthcare or hospitality environment
- Diversity and culturally sensitive interpersonal skills
- Ability to learn hospital floor plan, policy, and procedures
- Ability to read, write, and provide accurate information
- Experience working with EPIC and Visitor Welcoming System hardware/software preferred
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of experience in a healthcare or hospitality environment
- Direct patient contact experience preferred
- Experience in an academic medical center preferred
- Competency in managing difficult conversations
- Familiarity with EPIC and Visitor Welcoming System hardware/software preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to learn and apply hospital policies and procedures
Job Duties
- Greet patients and visitors promptly in a warm and friendly manner
- Utilize the Visitor Welcoming System and Epic to verify visits and appointments
- Provide relevant information regarding patient information, hospital services, maps, directions, and policies
- Demonstrate culturally sensitive interpersonal skills when communicating with patients, families, visitors, and staff
- Collaborate closely with Security and Service Excellence teams to maintain a patient and family-centered care culture
- Manage difficult conversations with professionalism and empathy
- Learn and apply knowledge of hospital floor plans, policies, and procedures to assist guests effectively
