The Guest Services Team Member position is a seasonal, non-exempt role within the Guest Services Department. Team members will report to Guest Services Managers, Assistant Managers, or Supervisors, and work in different sections such as Admissions, Retail, or Rides. Starting pay rates are competitive at $15.00 to $15.50 per hour, dependent on the specific position and responsibilities. This flexible employment opportunity is ideal for individuals aged 15 and older who enjoy engaging with people and contributing to exceptional customer service.
In this role, team members are essential in ensuring each visitor has a positive, seamless experience from entry to exit. Responsibilities include greeting guests, handling transactions, promoting Zoo & Aquarium events, and assisting in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the facility. Team members may rotate or receive training in various roles based on operational needs and supervisor discretion, providing a comprehensive introduction to multiple facets of guest service within a zoo and aquarium setting.
Admissions team members focus on managing entrance transactions, verifying tickets and memberships, and facilitating guest flow through the entry points, all while upholding the organization’s policies. The Retail team handles merchandise sales, store organization, and customer inquiries related to retail products. Rides team members operate amusement rides safely, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, managing daily operational procedures, and delivering safety instructions to guests.
This position requires physical activity, including standing for extended periods, moving around the park, and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. Team members work variable schedules, including weekends, holidays, and evening shifts, adapting to weather extremes. The role is suited for individuals who enjoy dynamic interactions, have a passion for guest service, and are comfortable working in an active, outdoor environment. Job Requirements
- Must be 15 years of age or older
- Ability to stand for extended periods

Job Duties
- Provide excellent customer service to guests at all times
- Respond to guest inquiries and assist with information about the Zoo & Aquarium
- Sell tickets and memberships in Admissions area
- Scan and process admissions tickets and membership cards
- Follow cash handling and credit card procedures
- Operate rides safely while following safety protocols
- Load and unload rides ensuring guest safety
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in assigned work areas
- Assist with stocking and retail merchandise management
- Promote Zoo & Aquarium events and activities to guests
