Job Requirements
- Current certification in CPR, First Aid, and AED or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire
- ability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- physical ability to stand, sit, walk, stretch, lift, bend, and carry up to 50 lbs
- experience in customer service and cash handling
- ability to operate computers and software
- strong communication skills
- ability to work independently and in a team
- willingness to pass pre-employment screenings including drug test, background check, and motor vehicle record search
Job Qualifications
- Current certification in CPR, First Aid, and AED or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire
- experience and knowledge of computer operations and software including Microsoft Office
- Spanish/English bilingual skills
- knowledge of customer service principles, incident response methodologies, and municipal organizational structure
- strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and collaboration skills

- ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure
- ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations
Job Duties
- Collects and handles cash
- greets all patrons in a timely manner and inquire about their activities to ensure safety
- answers and transfers a high volume of telephone calls
- provides quality customer service through developing relationships with participants, community members, and organizations
- participates in regular team meetings to maintain consistency across recreation facilities
- learns and uses recreation management software for membership sales, program registration, facility rentals, and point of sale services
- assists with updating marketing materials, website, and social media
- enforces risk management and emergency response procedures
