Job Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old
Availability to work peak days and hours including weekdays weekends and holidays
First Aid CPR AED certification preferred
The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts requiring normal safety precautions typical of offices meeting and training rooms and safe work practices with office equipment
Must be able to walk stand bend and carry light items up to 20 pounds unassisted and 50 pounds assisted
Some repetitive motion is involved

Job Qualifications

Preferred previous guest relations experience
Strong customer service skills
Be able to work independently
Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
Be reliable flexible and personable
Willingness to take initiative and make decisions in customer service
Must be capable of general physical movement such as standing and bending throughout the day

Job Duties

Welcome visitors and sell admission tickets providing friendly prompt and accurate customer service
Learn and understand how exhibits work and utilize that knowledge to ensure visitors have a positive unique and fun experience
Work as a team to ensure the lobby and front desk are clean and presentable to visitors
Answer guest questions and help resolve concerns both in person and via phone
Balance cash drawer at the end of each day
Welcome and accommodate school and private groups
Train for and work exhibit operation as needed
Perform coat check and stroller rental as needed
Proactively engage guests in personal inspiring interactions while showing genuine enthusiasm about Adventure Science Center
Perform core operational functions of guest safety and wayfinding
Carry out emergency procedures and protocol for incidents when necessary
Other duties as assigned
