We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Guest Services Manager to join our team and take charge of the front desk and overall guest services operations at Avid Hotel Memphis Southaven. This full-time position plays a crucial role in managing and leading a team of guest service agents as well as ensuring that all guest interactions meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency. The Guest Services Manager will be responsible for scheduling, training, and evaluating the performance of front desk staff, overseeing guest check-ins and check-outs, and maintaining an inviting and organized lobby environment that enhances the guest experience. This leadership role requires strong communication skills, the ability to multitask under pressure, and a dedication to excellent customer service in a fast-paced hospitality setting. The ideal candidate will be proficient with property management systems and technology, able to handle financial reconciliation tasks, and flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a guest services manager role or similar leadership position in the hospitality industry
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and handle high-volume workload efficiently
  • Proficiency in computer systems including Microsoft Office and property management software
  • Flexibility to work evenings weekends and holidays as required

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a guest services manager or in a leadership role in the hospitality industry
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and handle a high-volume workload
  • Proficiency with computer systems and software such as Microsoft Office and property management systems
  • Flexibility to work evenings weekends and holidays as needed

Job Duties

  • Manage and lead a team of guest service agents including scheduling training and performance evaluations
  • Oversee daily operation of the front desk including handling guest check-ins check-outs and requests
  • Ensure tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards including maintaining a clean and organized lobby area and adhering to safety protocols
  • Provide excellent customer service to guests including assisting with questions and needs and handling complaints and concerns
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels including ordering and restocking as needed
  • Complete daily financial and operational tasks such as reconciling the register and completing shift reports
  • Perform other duties as assigned
