Job Description

Marriott International is a globally recognized hospitality company renowned for its commitment to exceptional guest experiences and its diverse portfolio of brands. Among its prestigious offerings is JW Marriott, a luxury brand that includes over 100 properties located in gateway cities and distinctive resort destinations worldwide. Marriott International is dedicated to fostering an inclusive work environment that values the unique backgrounds, talents, and perspectives of its associates, promoting equal opportunities and non-discrimination on any protected basis. The company's culture emphasizes hospitality, innovation, and a genuine commitment to both guest and employee well-being.

JW Marriott, as a part of this global family, holds a philosophy that associates are the company's greatest asset. The success of the JW brand is deeply rooted in a culture of confidence, innovation, sincerity, and intuitive service modeled after the founder, J. Willard Marriott. Working at JW Marriott offers an unparalleled career experience where associates are encouraged to be their best selves, work collaboratively in a diverse community, and pursue personal and professional growth within a luxury hospitality setting. Training, development, recognition, and a focus on holistic well-being are cornerstones of the associate experience here, supporting both career advancement and life balance.

The role of the Guest Service Expert is pivotal in delivering the Marriott promise of "Wonderful Hospitality. Always." This position goes beyond just serving food and drinks; it is about creating a memorable and unique experience for every guest who walks through the door. Guest Service Experts are approachable, responsive, and proactive team members who ensure the dining atmosphere is welcoming, efficient, and enjoyable. Their responsibilities include setting tables, interacting with guests to ensure satisfaction, communicating effectively with kitchen staff, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards throughout the service areas.

Critical to success in this role is the ability to remain on one's feet for extended periods, navigating varying floor surfaces safely, managing weightlifting tasks within specified limits, and maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor at all times. Guest Service Experts must uphold Marriott’s quality and safety standards while embodying the company’s values of teamwork, respect, and integrity. This position typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with less than one year of related work experience accepted, and no supervisory experience or certifications necessary, making it an ideal entry-level opportunity for those seeking to begin their career in hospitality.

Working at JW Marriott means joining a team that is more than just colleagues; it’s a community where camaraderie and collaboration thrive. The company is dedicated to providing a safe workplace, upholding policies that nurture growth, and creating an environment where innovation meets tradition. For individuals passionate about hospitality and eager to deliver exceptional service in a dynamic, supportive luxury hotel environment, becoming a Guest Service Expert at JW Marriott is a promising career step.
