We are currently seeking an outstanding Guest Service Representative to join our dedicated team. This role is ideal for individuals who are hands-on, team-oriented professionals with high standards and a passion for exceeding guest expectations daily. The Guest Service Representative acts as the face of the hotel, ensuring every guest feels welcomed and valued from check-in to check-out. This position requires excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Our Guest Service Representatives are responsible for maintaining strong guest relations by providing personalized service and resolving inquiries with professionalism and a positive attitude.

The role involves a variety of key functions including greeting guests upon arrival, handling the check-in and check-out process, managing reservations and guest accounts, and facilitating communication between guests and hotel departments. Representatives also operate the PBX phone system, manage cash and credit transactions responsibly, and contribute to overall hotel operations by assisting team members when needed. This role requires attention to detail, a strong sense of responsibility, and a genuine desire to contribute positively to the guest experience and the hotel’s reputation.

Employment type for this position is full-time, with a competitive pay range between $21.00 and $23.00 per hour. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in customer service or hospitality preferred
  • Ability to communicate clearly and courteously
  • Competence in cash handling and basic accounting
  • Familiarity with hotel front desk operations and reservation systems
  • Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in guest service or hospitality preferred

  • Ability to handle cash and credit transactions accurately
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with PBX phone systems and hotel reservation software

Job Duties

  • Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to hotel guests
  • Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members
  • Greet arriving guests and complete established check-in procedures daily to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Facilitate guest departures by following procedures to close accounts and determine room availability
  • Calculate and post monies, receipts, and guest accounts accurately using proper cash handling methods
  • Courteously answer inquiries and accept reservations in person and by phone using company reservation guidelines
  • Maintain good guest relations by staying informed about in-house and area functions to respond promptly to questions
  • Operate the PBX equipment to handle incoming and outgoing calls, set wake-up calls, and ensure efficient service
  • Control cash and credit transactions at the front desk and maintain personal bank responsibility as per hotel policy
  • Process guest mail, messages, and faxes by receiving, sorting, notifying, and distributing timely information
  • Contribute to department and front desk logbooks to enhance communication and operations
  • Provide assistance to other team members and departments to support overall performance
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
