Job Description

OUTRIGGER Resorts & Hotels is a distinguished hospitality company known for its deep commitment to the cultures and communities where it operates. Established as a leader in the hotel and resort industry, OUTRIGGER has built a reputation for delivering exceptional guest experiences characterized by the spirit of aloha. This core value is reflected not only in the company's service philosophy but also in its work culture, where employees, often referred to as the 'ohana,' foster a welcoming and inclusive environment that embraces aloha as a way of life. The company prides itself on maintaining a strong sense of community and connection, ensuring that every interaction—whether with guests, colleagues, or partners—is marked by genuine care and respect. The aloha spirit is more than just a greeting; it is a commitment to kindness, patience, and hospitality that permeates every aspect of the business.

The role on offer is for a Guest Activities Coordinator at OUTRIGGER Kona Resort (OKR), a position integral to enhancing the guest experience through thoughtful planning, coordination, and supervision of hotel guest activities and services. This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $53,000 to $73,000, adjusted based on the applicant's skills, experience, and education. The Guest Activities Coordinator is entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring that all front-of-house activities meet the high standards expected by the hotel, with a particular focus on VIP guests and members of the Outrigger Discovery (GHA) and Voyager 47 programs.

In this role, the coordinator will lead and manage the daily operations of the Voyager 47 front-of-house staff, working closely with various departments including property operations, food and beverage, sales, and marketing. The objective is to foster a seamless and memorable guest engagement experience that aligns with the overall vision for Voyager 47 Club Lounge and the wider Outrigger Resorts portfolio. A key expectation is for the coordinator to personify the 'Outrigger Way,' a set of core values known as Ke 'Ano Wa'a, which guide interactions with all customers—guests, patrons, travel partners, and teammates alike.

Serving as an official greeter or 'Ambassador of Aloha,' the Guest Activities Coordinator plays a pivotal role in welcoming guests and ensuring that every facet of their visit is infused with warmth and hospitality. This position is perfect for a dedicated hospitality professional who thrives in a vibrant, guest-focused environment and is passionate about creating unforgettable experiences. OUTRIGGER recognizes the importance of professional growth and provides numerous training and development opportunities to support employees in their career advancement. Moreover, the role includes comprehensive benefits such as health insurance covering dental, medical, prescription, and vision; paid holidays, sick leave, vacation, and medical leave; a retirement plan including a 401K; recognition and award programs; employee assistance programs; and discounted hotel rates.

Joining OUTRIGGER means becoming part of an aloha-driven team that believes wholeheartedly in the work they do and values the human connections that make hospitality special. This position invites individuals who are enthusiastic about living and working with aloha, demonstrating kindness and respect in every interaction, and contributing positively to a cohesive team that strives to exceed guest expectations in all aspects of service.
