Job Description

St. Regis Hotels & Resorts, a prestigious luxury hotel brand under Marriott International, has a legacy of delivering exquisite and personalized guest experiences since its inception in New York by John Jacob Astor IV in the early twentieth century. Today, St. Regis operates over 50 luxury hotels and resorts in prime locations globally, renowned for its impeccable bespoke service and signature Butler Service. Marriott International fosters a rich, inclusive, and diverse workplace culture that values the unique backgrounds, talents, and experiences of its associates. As an equal opportunity employer, Marriott International, through the St. Regis brand, actively welcomes candidates from all backgrounds, emphasizing non-discrimination and equal access to opportunities for all, including those protected by law such as veterans and individuals with disabilities.

The role of Guest Service Expert at St. Regis is more than just a position; it is an opportunity to be part of an immersive hospitality experience where the guest interaction is the centerpiece. The Guest Service Expert's primary mission is to create a memorable and unique dining experience by going beyond the simple task of serving food and drinks. This position requires proactive engagement with guests, meticulous attention to detail in setting tables, clear and effective communication with the kitchen staff, and ensuring that workstations and supplies remain clean and orderly. The role demands excellent physical stamina, as it includes standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, often on uneven or slippery surfaces. Additionally, the Guest Service Expert must handle various tasks involving physical effort, such as lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling objects up to certain weight limits, while also being agile enough to bend, twist, and stoop safely.

Safety in the workplace is paramount, and the Guest Service Expert is expected to uphold all relevant safety protocols, maintain high standards of personal appearance and professional communication, and faithfully adhere to the company’s policies and procedures. This role is suitable for individuals with a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent and does not require prior supervisory experience or specific professional licenses. It is an ideal opportunity for those seeking entry-level experience in the hospitality industry, especially within a renowned luxury brand focused on classic sophistication combined with modern sensibility. Whether interacting directly with guests or supporting behind the scenes, the Guest Service Expert plays a crucial role in ensuring that each guest’s visit is exceptional and seamless from beginning to end. Joining St. Regis means becoming part of a global family of hospitality professionals dedicated to excellence and continuous personal and professional growth. By cultivating a workplace where everyone can do their best work, begin their purpose, belong to an amazing global team, and become their best selves, St. Regis Hotels & Resorts exemplifies what it means to offer true luxury hospitality.
