This role is a part-time, non-management position based in a prestigious Autograph Collection hotel located at 21 N Juniper St, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The position is tip-eligible, emphasizing the importance of guest interaction and service excellence. The Guest Service Expert, or server, plays a crucial role in shaping the dining experience by going beyond simply serving food and drinks. This role requires a proactive, guest-focused approach, where every action contributes to crafting a memorable and unique experience for diners. The Guest Service Expert is responsible for setting tables, communicating efficiently with kitchen staff, and delivering prompt and courteous service to guests. The role also involves maintaining cleanliness and organization of the work areas and supplies to ensure a smooth operational flow.

Success in this position depends on several key factors, including creating a safe and welcoming environment, adhering strictly to company policies and procedures, and maintaining high standards in quality and professionalism. The Guest Service Expert is expected to present a professional appearance and communicate effectively, contributing positively to the hotel's ambiance and guest satisfaction. The job requires physical stamina and dexterity, as employees will spend extended periods standing, walking, or sitting and must navigate sloping or uneven surfaces. Handling physical tasks is also part of the role, including lifting or carrying items up to 25 pounds independently and up to 50 pounds with assistance, as well as reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping to manage various objects and tasks.

Preferred candidates will have at least one year of fine dining restaurant server experience, which equips them with refined skills for managing sophisticated dining interactions. A high school diploma or GED equivalent is the basic educational requirement. While supervisory experience is not necessary, the ability to work collaboratively within a team and engage positively with guests is essential.
