The Guest Service Associate role at Global Partners plays a critical role in delivering an outstanding guest experience in their retail locations. This position involves interacting directly with guests to provide a welcoming and enjoyable shopping environment. The Associate ensures operational standards are maintained, including the execution of safety, security, and quality policies. Responsibilities also include operating the point of sale system in accordance with corporate standards, managing cash, lottery, and tobacco products, and maintaining clean and organized store premises through various housekeeping duties like cleaning, dusting, and stocking. In addition to these tasks, the Associate supports inventory management by conducting gas tank inventories and replenishing products to maintain in-stock conditions. Communication with store management and vendors is integral to the role to address guest requests and store needs efficiently.
This position requires flexibility in scheduling, including availability for day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts. Physical demands include the ability to work in various temperature conditions, climb ladders and stairs, and perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting up to 25 pounds, and accessing all store areas. Basic computer skills are necessary to facilitate store operations and paperwork. Global Partners offers a competitive salary range for this position, between $18.13 and $21.34 per hour, with the final rate determined by the candidate's experience, skills, and geographic location. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including days, nights, weekends and holidays
- Physical ability to perform duties including lifting up to 25 lbs, climbing ladders and stairs, and working in intermittent temperatures
- Basic computer skills
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests, team members, and management

- Support GSA new hire employee's onboarding and training
- Must be available to work flexible hours including day, nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Greet guests and provide an enjoyable shopping experience for everyone
- Adhere to the execution of established safety, security, quality and store operations policies, procedures, and practices
- Operate the point of sale pursuant to corporate standards
- maintain proper cash, lottery, tobacco levels
- Complete all store housekeeping functions (cleaning, dusting, sweeping, mopping, emptying trash, etc.)
- Replenish products and supplies ensuring in-stock conditions at all times
- Communicate with store management regarding guest requests and vendor-related concerns
- Check in external and internal vendors per established guidelines
- Conduct gas tank inventory and merchandising projects assigned by management
- Complete other tasks as assigned by management
