The Guest Service Associate role at Global Partners is a pivotal position that directly impacts the customer experience at the store level. This role involves greeting guests and ensuring that their shopping experience is pleasant and efficient. The Guest Service Associate is responsible for maintaining safety, security, and quality standards in the store by adhering to established policies and procedures. They will operate point-of-sale systems according to corporate standards while managing inventory items such as cash, lottery, and tobacco products accurately. Essential housekeeping tasks, including cleaning and organizing the store, replenishing stock, checking in vendors, and conducting inventory and merchandising activities also fall under this position's scope.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Must be available to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to perform basic computer functions
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures
  • Physical ability to climb ladders and stairs, reach, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift or carry up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to access all store areas
  • Ability to read, write, and count accurately
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment

Job Qualifications

  • Physical ability to climb ladders and stairs, and lift or carry up to 25 lbs
  • Ability to freely access all store areas including sales floor, stock, and register
  • Ability to complete job duties in a timely manner
  • Ability to count, read, and write accurately
  • Experience with customer service or retail preferred but not required

Job Duties

  • Greet guests and provide an enjoyable shopping experience
  • Adhere to safety, security, quality, and store operations policies and procedures
  • Operate point of sale according to corporate standards
  • Maintain cash, lottery, and tobacco inventory levels
  • Complete all store housekeeping functions including cleaning and organizing
  • Replenish products and supplies to ensure in-stock conditions
  • Communicate with management regarding guest requests and vendor concerns
  • Check in external and internal vendors per guidelines
  • Conduct gas tank inventory and merchandising projects assigned by management
  • Support onboarding and training of new Guest Service Associates
