The company caters to a diverse customer base and prides itself on maintaining high standards in all aspects of store operations, including customer interactions, safety protocols, and product offerings. With a strong presence and reputation in the convenience store industry, United Dairy Farmers offers opportunities for flexible employment, including part-time positions designed to accommodate different schedules and lifestyles.
The position of Guest Services Associate at United Dairy Farmers is an integral role focused on delivering exceptional guest experiences by embodying the five phases of The Hi Five Guest Experience: Invited, Welcomed, Well-Served, Respected, and Fulfilled. This position reports directly to the Store Manager and involves part-time work of 25 hours or less per week, with shifts available across the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift. Pay rates range from $12.50 to $14.50 per hour, making this an attractive opportunity for individuals seeking flexible work hours with competitive compensation.
As a Guest Services Associate, the primary responsibility is to provide outstanding service to every guest who walks into the store. This includes greeting guests warmly and authentically, anticipating their needs, and ensuring that they leave satisfied with the intention to return. Associates are also responsible for maintaining the safe and efficient operation of their shifts while complying with all relevant laws, company policies, and ethical standards. They perform various tasks that ensure the store runs smoothly, including preparing DipSide items such as shakes, malts, ice cream, and sundaes, managing transactions accurately using the point of sale system and gas console, and keeping merchandise stocked and organized.
Security is also a critical element of the role, with associates expected to monitor customer activity to prevent theft and ensure compliance with tobacco and alcohol management policies, as well as safety procedures to deter robbery and violence. Maintenance duties, including cleaning and safety checks, are also part of daily responsibilities to create a safe and pleasant shopping environment.
Additionally, Guest Services Associates are expected to complete accurate reporting related to time records and customer service documents. This role requires a versatile individual capable of multitasking and delivering excellent service under varying conditions. The company emphasizes inclusiveness and fairness and requires that all employees, including Guest Services Associates, be at least 16 years old. This role is key in fostering a positive store atmosphere and maintaining the high standards that UDF is known for. Overall, it offers an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals to work in a dynamic retail environment while contributing to customer satisfaction and store success.
