Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 to 2 years experience in a similar role in a luxury hotel preferred
  • Ability to handle cash securely
  • Strong telephone etiquette
  • Experience with hotel reservation systems a plus
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 25 lbs
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch
  • High levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy
  • Must maintain confidentiality of guest information
  • Must communicate clearly and concisely
  • Must maintain a neat and well-groomed appearance

Job Qualifications

  • College degree preferred
  • 1 to 2 years of similar experience in a luxury hotel preferred
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to think clearly and resolve problems calmly
  • Knowledge of Opera and Microsoft Outlook is a plus
  • Fluency in English, additional languages a plus
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Professional grooming and appearance

Job Duties

  • Process all guest check-ins and check-outs
  • Assign rooms and handle room changes and late check-out requests
  • Secure payment processing and activate or reissue room keys
  • Ensure rate accuracy and document any exceptions
  • Verify and adjust guest billing
  • Communicate guest status and requests to appropriate staff
  • Coordinate with housekeeping to track room status
  • Provide information and assistance to guests and visitors
