This role is dynamic, fast-paced, and requires an individual who can deliver warm hospitality with a constant smile. The Front Desk Agent will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere by greeting guest arrivals, managing check-in and check-out procedures efficiently, and providing accurate information about the local area. This position demands excellent communication skills and professionalism, as well as the ability to handle numerous guest requests and potential challenges with poise and tact.
In this role, you will take ownership of the front desk area, serving as an ambassador for our hotel and a resource for guests seeking recommendations on local restaurants, entertainment options, and sporting events. Your knowledge of the surrounding community will enhance the overall guest experience by providing personalized recommendations and helping visitors make the most of their stay. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing cash transactions accurately, utilizing various property management systems and databases to ensure smooth operational flow, and maintaining an organized work area.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and preferably three to six months of related experience in a hospitality setting. Most importantly, you must be personable and thrive in interactions across diverse guest profiles and team members. The ability to stay calm under pressure is essential to successfully handle the demanding pace of the role and satisfy guest needs promptly. Physical stamina is also necessary, given that the job requires standing or sitting for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, twisting, and climbing stairs. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays is a must, aligning with the operational demands of the hotel.
