Job Duties
- Organize and coordinate group check-in and pre-registration procedures
- Sell rooms to walk-in guests without reservations
- Anticipate situations of room unavailability and arrange satisfactory alternative accommodations
- Block rooms in the computer system and identify designated requirements
- Check for duplicate reservations to avoid conflicts
- Prepare and verify daily reports and incident lists
- Provide directions and information to guests about local destinations
- Answer, record, and process all guest calls, requests, questions, or concerns and follow up to ensure resolution
- Request transportation for guests or visitors
- Distribute safe deposit boxes to guests
- Compute and secure the cash drawer at the beginning and end of shifts
- Process guest checks, and all forms of payment, including receipts, disbursements, and expenses
- Assist management in employee motivation and training and serve as a departmental role model or mentor
- Comply with all company policies and procedures
- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions
- Ensure a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets
- Welcome guests according to company standards, anticipate service needs, assist persons with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation to guests
- Speak clearly and professionally using appropriate language
- Prepare and review accurate and complete written documents
- Handle phone calls using proper protocol
- Cultivate and maintain positive working relationships and support the team to achieve common goals
- Ensure compliance with quality expectations and standards
- Identify and recommend new ways to increase organizational effectiveness, productivity, quality, safety, or cost savings
- Stand, sit, or walk for prolonged periods
- Use computer systems and point of sale (POS) systems to input and retrieve information
- Move, lift, transport, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance
- Perform other reasonable job duties as assigned by supervisors
