Job Description

The hiring establishment is a reputable hotel known for its commitment to guest satisfaction, operational excellence, and sustainability. This hotel is an integral part of the hospitality industry, focusing on providing outstanding service that meets established brand standards as well as sustainable practices through its EarthView program. The hotel prides itself on fostering a welcoming environment where guests experience comfort, safety, and superior customer service from the moment they arrive until departure. This place offers opportunities for growth within the organization, allowing team members to advance into roles such as Front Desk Supervisor or Sales Coordinator and eventually into leadership positions like Front Office Manager or Sales Manager. The culture and values are centered on service excellence with the belief that "People Are Our Capability," "Hearts That Serve," "Only Excellence," "Stay Nimble," and "Own It." This reflects a workplace culture that encourages responsibility, adaptability, and continual improvement.

The role being offered is that of a Front Desk Representative, a pivotal position within the hotel’s front office team. This role involves greeting, registering, and servicing guests in a friendly and courteous manner consistent with the hotel’s brand and sustainability standards. The position pays $19.00 per hour and requires a candidate who can perform with a high level of professionalism and attention to detail in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The Front Desk Representative acts as the first point of contact for guests, providing assistance from check-in through check-out while managing a range of responsibilities including making and confirming reservations, establishing payment methods, and handling guest inquiries and complaints efficiently.

Additionally, the role demands the completion of bookkeeping activities such as balancing accounts and conducting audits to ensure accuracy in financial transactions. The candidate is expected to use telephones and Property Management Systems (PMS) effectively for communication tasks and guest service operations. Responsiveness to guest requests, securing valuables, assisting in busy periods like breakfast service or luggage handling, and upholding safety standards including the use of protective equipment are also key components of the job. Moreover, adherence to the hotel’s EarthView sustainability initiative means the candidate must practice environmentally responsible habits throughout their workday. This job offers a varied and dynamic work environment with schedules that may include weekends, holidays, and alternate shifts, combined with physical tasks such as standing for long periods and lifting up to 25 pounds. Overall, this role provides a comprehensive opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality who seek to build a career within a supportive and progressive hotel setting.
